Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Samridhii Shukla notes that audiences are witnessing the same trends, filters, and reels being reused repeatedly. She emphasised that this repetition has, in some way, stifled genuine talent.

She mentioned, "It began with Orkut, followed by Yahoo Messenger, then Facebook, and then Instagram arrived. Up to that moment, I believe it was quite imaginative. I believe that after TikTok, while there are some highly entertaining reels and many skilled individuals have built careers from it, I feel that true talent has become secondary, overshadowed by repetition and the tendency to keep producing the same content.”

"Another trend that has emerged is performing outrageous acts on social media for attention. Everyone desires their instant opportunity for stardom. I believe that a few years back, it used to create a significant impression, but now, due to shorter attention spans and the large number of people, I feel it has diminished in excitement," she said.

Samridhii believes that the audience is starting to lose interest in social media nowadays due to its predictability. She stated, "There are popular songs, and everyone performs the same moves, but you want to watch various people interpret it uniquely. It's been a few years of observing that, but unless someone is exceptionally talented, you don't really want to watch, as you anticipate what's going to happen. As a result, it becomes foreseeable."
