TVAbdu Rozik, of 'Bigg Boss 16' fame, recently got engaged on April 24 to an Emirati girl Amira. Known for his notable presence in the entertainment industry, Abdu has divulged heartwarming details about his personal life, his aspirations for fatherhood and the endearing tale of how his fiancée, Amira, initiated their romantic journey.
He however did not reveal Amira's face as it is not allowed in their culture. "I come from a country where we are not allowed to show the faces of our wives to people. We both are very religious. We follow the same culture and even she is not comfortable sharing her pictures on social media," he said in an interview.
Amidst the curiosity around his love life, a video of a dwarf girl is going viral on the internet. The video claims it is Abdu's fiancee Amira.
Check out the video:
The credibility of the video is questionable though. In the engagement pictures, Abdu is seen putting a ring on Amira's finger. While the face of the woman was covered in ghunghat, her hands had long slender fingers. Whereas the woman in the viral video has stubby fingers.
Announcing his engagement in a social media post, Abdu had shared, "I never imagined in my life that I will be so lucky to find a love who respects me and is not burdened by the obstacles in my life 7th of July save the date !! I cannot express to you in words how happy I am #love #marriage #engagement #life #wedding #romance #lifepartner
#engaged"
Speaking about Amira with HT, Abdu had said, "Her name is Amira and she is 19 years old. She is studying business administration in a university in Sharjah. She lives here and we both will make our home together here only. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever met. Our engagement function was amazing, we all enjoyed a lot. Both of our families were present to bless us. I feel like I have become a real man now. Amira and I both understand and respect each other, so it's a happy relationship.”
Abdu Rozik recently took to Instagram to address the wave of negative comments surrounding his engagement, urging trolls to refrain from spreading unkindness. The Tajikistani singer expressed his disappointment at the 'nasty' remarks targeting his decision to marry, attributing the criticism to his stature. In a heartfelt video and a lengthy note, Abdu Rozik emphasised the importance of empathy and understanding, urging for respect and acceptance in the face of judgment and ridicule.
"Thank you to everyone who has congratulated me and wished us well but from happy news I also have to talk about something bad that’s happening. I want to say the negative comments and those who are making fun of me and being nasty is very sad. Imagine Amira and her family are reading these comments. We went public after a lot of discussion and reluctance and unfortunately it is going from best news to a nightmare. People get married who are deaf blind no arms no legs but because I’m small you make fun of me. My health is good allhamdulillah and I deserve to be happy also. Please be kind to eachother and respect eachother as at end of day we don’t know how our children will look and these jokes are damaging and affect people mentally, we need to learn to love and be kind first then educate others. I used to be ashamed of who I am and my size and many families used to hide their children who are like me. But now allhamdulillah I
and all the others like me have to stand tall and be accepted. ️," he wrote in the caption.
