Hollywood actor Tony Todd, celebrated for his iconic roles in Final Destination and Candyman, has passed away at the age of 69. He died on November 6 at his Los Angeles home.
According to Deadline, His representative confirmed the news but did not disclose the reason of his death.
Born in Washington, D.C. in 1954 and raised in Connecticut, Tony Todd developed an early passion for acting that would shape his illustrious career.
Tony Todd, whose career spanned over four decades, leaves behind a legacy with more than 240 film and TV credits. He is best remembered for his portrayal of Daniel Robitaille, aka Candyman, in the 1992 horror film and its 2021 sequel. In this iconic role, Todd brought to life the vengeful ghost of an African American artist who is killed for falling in love with a white woman.

Beyond Candyman, Todd appeared in The Crow, The Rock, and Final Destination, where he played William Bludworth, a funeral home owner. He also made a memorable appearance in Star Trek: The Next Generation as Kurn, a Commander in the Klingon Defense Force and the brother of Worf (Michael Dorn).
Tony Todd's impactful contributions to the horror genre, especially his iconic role in 1992's Candyman, earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award at the New York City Horror Film Festival.
