Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is currently hospitalised and in a critical condition. His friend, Bhakti Soni, recently revealed alarming details about the actor's deteriorating health, sharing that Singh has not eaten or drunk water for the past 19 days.

In an emotional conversation with Times Now, Bhakti expressed her concern, stating, “He hasn’t eaten food or drunk water for 19 days. Because of that, he fell unconscious and was quickly rushed to the hospital.” She further mentioned that despite his poor health, Singh tried to get back to work but was unsuccessful. "He wanted to take sanyas," she added, indicating the deep distress Singh has been going through.

Bhakti also shared an unsettling exchange from their last phone call. “Jab humari last time call par baat hui thi, tab woh mujhe bole ki main January 13 ya January 14 tak mujhe yeh samajh aa jayega ki woh iss dharti par rahenge ya nahi. Yeh unke words the,” she recalled, revealing that Singh is grappling with deep emotional turmoil, and his family, especially his parents, are worried about his well-being.

Earlier this week, Singh took to Instagram, where he posted a video from his hospital bed. In the video, he expressed his gratitude and mentioned his health condition without specifying the exact cause of his hospitalization. “Haalat bahot zyada kharab ho gayi hai,” Singh shared, further acknowledging that it was Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s blessings that had given him a new lease on life. “On the occasion of Gurpurab, Guru Sahib Ji blessed me with a new life. Infinite and unlimited thanks to Guru Sahib Ji," he wrote, visibly grateful despite his challenging circumstances.

Gurucharan, who became a household name with his portrayal of the lovable Roshan Singh Sodhi on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, had been part of the show from its early days. He left the show in 2012, only to return a year later due to public demand. However, he exited again in 2020, with actor Balwinder Singh Suri taking over his role.
