The Devil Wears Prada 2 is in full swing, with the fans already receiving exciting first looks from the set. After Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway were spotted filming the most-awaited sequel in New York City, Stanley Tucci, who played the role of Nigel, a fictional fashion magazine editor in the iconic 2006 dramedy.
He was spotted in New York City on Monday, July 28, with Meryl Streep, several weeks after the film entered production. The pics and the videos from the set are going viral on social media.
In the photo, Stanley looked dapper in a crisp pant suit. Meryl Streep also looked stunning in a grey skirt paired with a blazer.
Previously, Hathaway gave a glimpse of the film with a series of photos and videos posted on her Instagram. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the sequel. Emily Blunt is yet to start the production of the film.
The upcoming highly anticipated sequel will revolve around Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. Miranda clashes with Blunt's character, a former assistant turned powerful executive of a luxury brand that Priestley needs for advertising.
However, it's currently unclear how Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, will fit into the story since she left Runway at the end of the first film to work at a newspaper.
The upcoming sequel will feature several new cast members, including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet. Netflix hit series Bridgerton fame actress, Simone Ashley, has also joined the most-awaited sequel.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 1, 2026.
