Playback singer Neha Kakkar became emotional on stage after arriving nearly three hours late to her concert in Melbourne. Despite apologising profusely for the delay, some fans expressed their frustration, accusing the singer of faking her emotions and branding her behaviour as ‘drama’ and ‘acting’. However, there were others who came to her defence, suggesting that the late arrival was beyond her control.
While the emotional moment garnered mixed reactions, some fans highlighted that the situation was not entirely Neha’s fault.
One comment by singer Twinkle Aggrawal stood out on a video shared by Jist News read, "The sponsors ran away with money and the show almost got cancelled but she still chose to come for everybody without dancers or anything."
This sentiment was echoed by others, who believed Neha had done her best under the difficult circumstances. Despite the controversy, Neha's commitment to her fans remained clear, with many applauding her determination to perform despite the setbacks.
The singer, visibly tearful, took the stage and immediately apologised for the long wait, but the crowd’s reaction was less than favourable.
Many fans booed her, with some shouting "Go Back". A video of the incident has since gone viral, showing Neha trying to calm the audience as she fought back tears.
She said, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance."

Neha had performed in Sydney before heading to Melbourne, sharing glimpses of the event on her Instagram. She expressed her gratitude, writing, “Thank you #Sydney Tonight #Melbourne #NehaKakkarLive.”
Despite the challenges, Neha’s dedication to her fans was clear, even though not all in the audience were receptive to her heartfelt apology.
