Haryanvi singer-rapper Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, was reportedly the target of a second assassination attempt, just weeks after surviving a similar attack in July 2025. This fresh attempt on his life was allegedly orchestrated by gangsters Deepak Nandal and Rohit Sirdhania, and follows the murder of his manager, raising concerns over a larger plot against the singer.
As per a Times Now report, on 26 August, Gurugram Police arrested five individuals in Wazirpur who were allegedly planning to kill Fazilpuria. Acting on intelligence inputs, the police intercepted the suspects travelling in an Innova without a number plate.
When confronted, the accused opened fire, prompting the police to retaliate. Four of the suspects were shot in the legs during the encounter, while the fifth was captured after a brief chase. All five are now in custody, with the injured receiving treatment in hospital.
Those arrested have been identified as Vinod Pehalwan from Jhajjar, Padam alias Raja from Sonipat, Shubham alias Kala, Gautam alias Gogi, and Ashish alias Ashu.
This marks the second reported attempt on Fazilpuria’s life in as many months. On 14 July 2025, unidentified gunmen opened fire at his vehicle on Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) in Gurugram.
Multiple shots were fired, shattering windows and causing chaos at the scene. Eyewitnesses said the attackers fled immediately, and Fazilpuria managed to escape unhurt. Police began an investigation into the incident, though no arrests had been made at the time.

While the exact motive behind the attacks is still under investigation, authorities are exploring possible links to rivalries within the regional music scene, as well as the singer’s past controversies.
Fazilpuria is widely known for blending Haryanvi folk with modern beats, and rose to nationwide fame with the hit track Kar Gayi Chull from the film Kapoor & Sons. His other popular songs like Jimmy Choo and Party have made him a staple in North India’s independent music circuit.
In 2024, he was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case tied to his friend Elvish Yadav’s alleged involvement in a high-profile rave party, where snake venom was reportedly used.
