The excitement surrounding Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King continues to mount as the action thriller is set to wrap up its first shooting schedule by June 30. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced under SRK’s own banner, King promises to be a high-octane gangster drama with a star-studded ensemble cast.
The film, which began shooting earlier this month, is currently being filmed at YRF Studios and Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. Key sequences featuring Shah Rukh Khan and other major cast members have already been completed.
Notably, the film marks the first professional collaboration between Shah Rukh and his daughter Suhana Khan, making it one of the most anticipated Bollywood projects in recent memory.
Celebrating 33 years in the Indian film industry, Shah Rukh shows no signs of slowing down. With King, the superstar returns to the action genre in full force. He plays a cold-blooded assassin in the film, while Suhana is reported to portray his protégé, with both expected to feature in intense action sequences together.
A source close to the production revealed, “Shah Rukh and Suhana have already filmed a few portions in Mumbai under Siddharth Anand’s direction. The film is mounted on a grand scale, and preparations are underway for the next big schedule in Scotland.”
The Scotland leg of filming is scheduled to begin in September and will last around 40 to 50 days. This international schedule is expected to showcase some of the film’s most visually striking and action-packed moments.
King also boasts a powerful supporting cast, including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma. The presence of such acclaimed actors adds further intrigue and gravitas to the project.

Recently, a behind-the-scenes video featuring Shah Rukh went viral, giving fans a glimpse of his new look in the film. Dressed in a white vest, grey baggy pants, a beanie, and sunglasses, the actor was also seen flaunting his tattooed physique—hinting at a gritty and intense character arc.
King is slated for a grand theatrical release in 2026. With high expectations and a compelling narrative in the works, the film is already shaping up to be a blockbuster in the making. As the first schedule draws to a close, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be one of Shah Rukh Khan’s most ambitious films yet.
