Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn, known for their successful collaborations in the Golmaal and Singham franchises, are reportedly gearing up to reunite once again for Golmaal 5.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the much-awaited comedy sequel is expected to go on floors in early 2026, with February or March being the likely window for the shoot to begin.
Rohit Shetty is currently working on finishing his Rakesh Maria biopic with John Abraham before diving into Golmaal 5. The movie is expected to be finished by September 2025, and by the end of the year, the editing will be finished.
According to Pinkvilla, Shetty will focus entirely on Golmaal 5 pre-production after that project is finished, laying the groundwork for their upcoming comedy antics.
According to the source, Rohit Shetty is presently in Mumbai working with John Abraham on the Rakesh Maria biopic. With the filmmaker reportedly hoping to finalise the edit by the end of the year for an early 2026 release, the project is anticipated to be finished by September 2025. According to reports, Shetty will start getting ready for Golmaal FIVE after the wrap-up, which is anticipated to start production by February or March 2026.
The main plot of the movie has already been established, and production is already under way. The upcoming comedy sequel's screenplay is presently being locked by a new group of writers.

The source further added, “A fresh set of writers are working on the script of Golmaal FIVE, which is expected to be locked by September 2025, not-withstanding the dialogues and polishing work."
