Actor Mahesh Babu, one of the biggest stars in Telugu cinema, has always openly expressed his love and loyalty toward his home industry. In an old interview, he once again spoke about why he prefers to continue working in Telugu films, calling it his true “emotion.”

During the promotions of the film Major, starring Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar, Mahesh—who produced the film—was asked why he isn’t inclined to take up Hindi movies.

Responding to this, he said, "I wasn't saying I wasn't keen on going to that level. I was always saying that I wouldn't want to do Hindi films. I would always want to do Telugu films. This I've been saying from a long time."

He then spoke about how Telugu cinema has grown and how it reflects everything he has always believed in. "So now I am very happy that what I have been saying is happening. My strength is to do a Telugu films. So the emotion what I know is a Telugu film emotion. But today the emotions are so strong that the films have become so big that eventually it has become Indian cinema."
