Among the heartfelt greetings was a special message from his ex-son-in-law, actor Dhanush, who took to X to wish the veteran actor, affectionately referring to him as 'Thalaiva'.
Dhanush wrote, "Happy birthday thalaiva @rajinikanth.” He was among the first to extend his wishes on Rajinikanth’s milestone birthday.
Dhanush’s birthday message reflects his deep love and respect for Rajinikanth, whom he has always admired as a fan.
For context, Dhanush was previously married to Rajinikanth’s elder daughter Aishwarya from 2004 to 2024, and the couple has two sons together.
