Randeep Hooda is all set to return to the big screen with his upcoming film, Jaat, following his knee injury. The trailer of the most awaited film was recently released, leaving a lasting impact on viewers with its captivating visuals, high-octane action sequences, and powerful performances.
Randeep will star as a villain in the film, and his antagonist portrayal has just increased the excitement among fans. However, the actor was initially not sure about playing the antagonist.
A source close to the actor has recently revealed that the makers of the film were thrilled to cast Randeep as Ranatunga. However, the actor initially had doubts, but he ultimately accepted the part, despite knowing that he wouldn't be playing a Jaat character.
The source said, “When the producers approached Randeep for the role of Ranatunga, he was intrigued by the challenge but he also had his reservations and wasn’t sure of taking that leap.”
The source added, “But seeing the enthusiasm of the director, Gopichand Malineni during the narration of the screen and play the lead villain to Sunny Deol whom he greatly admires was the main reason that made him say yes.”

Alongside Randeep Hooda, the upcoming action thriller also features Sunny Deol and Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher and Swarupa Ghosh in the lead roles.
The film is directed by Gopichand Malineni and is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers and TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory. The music for the film is composed by Thaman S.
