Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda brought the tragic life of Sarabjit Singh, who was sentenced to death for terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court. However, Sarabjit’s daughter, Poonam Attwal Arora, welcomed a baby girl, and Randeep extended his wishes to the new mother.
The actor took to his Instagram Story and celebrated the news. He shared an adorable photo of Poonam holding her newborn daughter in her arms. Along with the photo, the actor penned a touching note congratulating Poonam as she embraces motherhood.
Randeep wrote, “So happy to know and share that Sarabjit’s daughter Poonam Attwal Arora is blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Congratulations to the parents." The actor concluded his note, adding, “I am sure he would have been so happy and blessed them," referring to Sarabjit Singh.
For the unversed, Randeep formed a close bond with Sarabjit’s family while getting to know him better to portray him in the 2016 film. Sarabjit died in Lahore after his fellow inmates attacked him at Kot Lakhpat Jail in 2023.
The actor also met Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur, who passed away in 2022. Following Dalbir’s death, Randeep visited her village to perform her last rites. Additionally, the actor also gave his shoulder to her bier and held a prayer meet, keeping a promise that he had made to her.

Meanwhile, the biographical drama, Sarabjit, documents the struggle of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur as she fights against the system and seeks justice for her brother.
Directed by Omung Kumar, the film also features Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumaar in pivotal roles.
