Ram Charan Teja was conferred with an honorary doctorate from Vels University in Chennai. The proud wife, Upasana Kamineni Koindela, shared pictures of her husband and Global Star from the ceremony.
Sharing a few pictures from the event, she wrote: "DR. RAM CHARAN KONIDELA Sooooooooo proud of you @alwaysramcharan"
The honour was presented to him during Vels University's convocation ceremony today, April 13. Ram Charan was the chief guest at the ceremony.
Upasana posted pictures with her husband before and after the ceremony. In one photo, Ram Charan is in a simple white shirt and trousers, while the other one sees him in the robe after the doctorate ceremony.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and filmmaker Shankar have also been bestowed with doctorate degree in the past by Vels University.
Ram Charan's fans were elated to see the pictures of their favourite actor being conferred with this title, and they also took to the comment section and referred to him as "Dr Ram Charan."

Since his film debut in 2007 with 'Chirutha', Ram Charan has earned both praise and fame for his performances. Over the years, he has won many awards, including Nandi Awards and Filmfare Awards, and was recently nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for his role in the blockbuster film 'RRR.'
On the professional front, Ram Charan was last seen in SS Rajamouli’s 'RRR', alongside Jr. NTR and Alia Bhatt. The film's track 'Naatu Naatu' not only captured hearts worldwide but also won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
Ram Charan is busy shooting for his upcoming movie, 'Game Changer,' which is being directed by Shankar. The film, which will see Kiara Advani opposite him, is slated for release during the Dussehra in September.
He will also start work on Buchi Babu Sana's sports drama, set in a rural backdrop. It will feature Janhvi Kapoor opposite Ram Charan, with music composed by AR Rahman.
