BLACKPINK singer Jennie recently released her latest album. However, the K-pop idol has faced some serious accusations over her recent solo. Bollywood fans have accused Jennie of plagiarism. The singer is accused of copying tunes and beats from Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani theme song for her track Like Jennie.

However, Indian composer, Pritam has recently taken to his Instagram and reflected on the accusation. The singer has defended Jennie and insisted that such coincidences can occur and that no one is deliberately copying in a series of notes.

Pritam wrote on Instagram, “Rani and Jennie are names that rhyme, so a similar flow in one phrase doesn’t make it a copy. In music, minor similarities are bound to happen—whether through rhymes, phrasing, or even within the same genre.”

Music composer continued defending Jennie and added, “Instead of focusing on tiny details, it’s important to see the bigger picture. In today’s interconnected world, where artists share the same platforms, no one is deliberately trying to copy someone else’s work. Creating a song takes immense effort, and if an artist truly resonates with an idea, they can simply collaborate."

He wished Jennie good luck before noting that music involves creativity, individual artistic vision, influence, and sometimes coincidence, especially when artists share a similar creative mindset. He also suggested that instead of criticizing artists, it is more sensible to appreciate their work.
