As of now, pan-India actor Prabhas is enjoying his summer break; however returns to action in June, and will immediately start shooting for his new film, Fauji, a big-budget project. The film will see him in a new avatar of a soldier, a role that has intrigued fans. It is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and is a period drama set in pre-independence India.
Fauji is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Indian films in recent times and is backed by Mythri Movie Makers. In an article published by Telugu 360, it has been mentioned that the big-budget film is being made on a scale of around Rs 600 crore, making it the most expensive film of the production house to date — even more so than their Pushpa films.
Massive Sets, Massive Vision
The team has already set up the grand sets at Ramoji Film City to recreate the pre-independence era authentically and in scale. The filming is going on in full swing and the banner, Mythri Movie Makers has given a free hand to director Hanu Raghavapudi to materialise his vision.
With the film's content and scale, the makers are placing a huge bet, having roped in some of the finest technicians in the industry to ensure high production value and immersive storytelling.
