Actor Varun Sood recently won a lot of critical acclaim for his performance in Karmma Calling. Prior to this, he was seen in Jug Jug Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani.
Varun is all set for a back-to-back calendar release this year, with two web series coming up, including Call Me Bae with Ananya Panday. However, we hear that the actor has been juggling between busy shoot schedules and launching a clothing line of his own.
Speaking about how it all started, Varun said, "The idea behind starting my own brand has come from sports personalities that I have always followed. I was always inspired by athletes who started their own brand. Over the years, I have built a fairly decent audience on social media. I feel I can resonate with the audience I have built, and hence, I thought of starting VS. All the designs I have dropped under VS have a specific meaning. In fact, VS also isn’t Varun Sood; it means Versus, something that's an integral part of sportsmanship and all sports games as well as life overall," he said.
Many Bollywood actors like Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan, and Katrina Kaif have launched their own lines, but it happened much later in their careers.
For Varun, the landscape is very different because his social media following already gives him a very strong audience base, even though he's just at the beginning of his acting career.
Varun's reality TV shows and his constant engagement with his audience have led to a fabulous Gen Z audience for him, which he is making the most of with the launch of this new brand.
Varun was also in the news for his breakup with ex-girlfriend Divya Agarwal, but the former reality star has maintained a dignified silence over what led to their breakup. Divya is now married, and Varun is single.
