The makers of the much-awaited movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ gave a glimpse of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s look from the upcoming movie.
Director Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi movie, 'Kalki 2898 AD', also stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.
In the picture that has been released online, one can see the face of Amitabh Bachchan’s character wrapped in bandages and having a tilak on his forehead. He is seen sitting inside a temple, and a bright ray of light falls on him. The post further reads: “The time has come to know who he is.”
The full look of Amitabh Bachchan’s character will be released later on Sunday during an IPL match. It also mentions the time: 7:15 pm on April 21.
According to a report in the news agency ANI, a source told them, "The team of Kalki 2898 AD is planning something grand this Sunday. Expected to be one big update regarding the film, this will be a major event for fans worldwide. Known for their amazing promotional campaigns and events, it's going to be a great surprise for audiences."
Reports suggest that the makers are also likely to announce the film’s new release date, as there have been speculations that it has been postponed.
Kalki 2898 AD is touted as one of the biggest releases in India this year. The movie was produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
The movie also made its debut last year at San Diego Comic-Con, which helped it earn massive global acclaim.
