Karthik Gattamneni's fantasy film Mirai is enjoying a decent run at the box office following its release on September 12. The film has wrapped up its first weekend, collecting over Rs 40 crore net in India.
According to a trade website, Mirai earns Rs 16.50 crore net in India on its first Sunday, September 14. The action fantasy film’s total now stands at Rs 44.50 crore net in India. The film registered an overall occupancy of 30.53% in Hindi with 14.11% morning, 37.34% afternoon, 42.68% evening and 27.98% night show.
The film opened in the theatres on a positive note and collected Rs 13 crore, followed by Rs 15 crore net in India. The film witnessed a surge on its first Sunday. Meanwhile, the early estimation hints that the film has earned Rs 0.5 crore net in India till Monday morning.
Additionally, the film is also creating waves in the worldwide theatres. Distribution house People Media Factory has recently revealed the worldwide collection of Miran in a social media post. Mirai has earned Rs 55.6 crore gross worldwide in just two days.
Mirai notably surpassed the collection of Teja Sejja’s 2024 release of HanuMan to become the highest-grossing movie of his career. On its first day of release, HanuMan brought in Rs 8 crore net in India.

Mirai follows the journey of Vedha (played by Teja), a young man fated to rise as a powerful Yodha, or warrior, and take on the forces of evil. His adversary, Mahabir Lama — known as the Black Sword (portrayed by Manoj) — is on a quest to find the nine ancient grandhas, sacred texts left behind by Emperor Ashoka, in his pursuit of ultimate power.
