Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has recently turned heads in a stunning Caroline Herrera crisp skirt at the Met Gala 2025 on May 1. The actress returned to the fashion’s biggest night after two years of hiatus.
In a red carpet interview with Vogue, Hathaway talked about her outfit and revealed that she worked with the house's creative director, Wes Gordon, to make her look.
She said, “What we wanted, we love everybody here. We respect everybody here… we wanted to have something tailored, something glamorous, something grand.”
However, the actress paid a tribute to the legendary late fashion journalist and creative director André Leon Talley, who inspired this year's "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" theme and exhibit. Talley died in 2022 from a heart attack at the age of 73.
She shared, "What we wanted — we love everybody here. We respect everybody here. We dressed for one person and we wanted André Leon Talley to look down from heaven and scream 'Glamour!'”
The actress honoured the Tailored for You Met Gala theme in a custom skirt-suit combo, complete with a sparkly black and silver skirt and a simple white dress shirt.
Hathaway’s top was paired with a studded striped column skirt and a necklace adorned with a massive gemstone. The actress exudes glamour with a high voluminous ponytail accessorised with a headband and makeup, topped with a bright pink lip.
