On Monday, Lady Gaga gave fans a sneak peek into her much-anticipated album Mayhem. The singer shared a dramatic cinematic video featuring eerie photos and fast-moving typed messages, all synced to an escalating, dark soundscape.
She posted the video on Instagram with the caption, "MAYHEM coming March 7." The album is set to drop on March 7, building anticipation for what promises to be an intense and electrifying musical experience.
Fans are already buzzing with excitement for her latest project, which seems to blend mystery and suspense with her signature style.
According to Deadline, Lady Gaga shared in a statement that her upcoming album began as a journey of confronting her fear of returning to the pop music that her earliest fans cherished.
She described her creative process as resembling "a shattered mirror: even if you can't put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way."
Gaga’s words reflect her desire to embrace growth while honoring the roots of her musical evolution, suggesting that Mayhem will offer a fresh yet deeply personal experience for listeners.
The new album will feature 14 songs, including the previously released Disease and Die With a Smile. Gaga, Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt exec produce, with producers listed as Gaga, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.
The singer is set to premiere the third single from their upcoming album Mayhem, along with its music video, on February 2 during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
While fans eagerly await the full tracklist, it is expected to be unveiled closer to the album's release, building anticipation for the highly anticipated project.
Ahead of the Grammys, Gaga will join artists including Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks, and Joni Mitchell to perform at FireAid in Los Angeles on January 30, benefiting the people and communities devastated by the recent wildfires.
On March 17, she will be honored with the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards, followed by a headlining performance at Coachella on April 11 and 18.
