In Karate Kid: Legends, the story follows kung fu prodigy Li Fong (played by Ben Wang) who faces a life-altering upheaval. After a family tragedy, Li and his mother move from Beijing to New York City. Struggling to adjust to his new surroundings and fit in with his classmates, Li finds himself constantly encountering trouble. Despite his reluctance to fight, circumstances compel him to enter a karate competition to help a new friend.
However, Li's kung fu skills alone are insufficient for the challenge ahead. To prepare for the competition, Mr Han seeks the assistance of the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso. Together, they teach Li to merge their distinct fighting styles into one formidable technique, setting the stage for an epic martial arts showdown.
