The Jonas Brothers — Joe, Nick, and Kevin — are back as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, while Demi Lovato has joined as an executive producer. For fans who grew up on the 2008 classic and its 2010 sequel, this third film is a full-circle moment.
Joe even gave fans a cheeky throwback on Instagram, strutting through set in a leather jacket while quoting his iconic line: “I’m Shane Gray, for crying out loud.” The caption read, “Close enough, welcome back Shane Gray.” The clip went viral instantly, as did another post from the official Jonas Brothers account with the siblings lip-syncing to the fan-favorite scene.
New Plot, Fresh Campers
The story picks up with Connect 3 losing their opening act for a major reunion tour, forcing the brothers back to Camp Rock to find the next big thing. According to the logline, campers compete for the coveted spot, leading to rivalries, alliances, and new romances.
The fresh cast includes Liamani Segura as Sage, Hudson Stone as Desi, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, Ava Jean as Madison, and Malachi Barton as camp bad boy Fletch. Familiar faces return too — Maria Canals-Barrera reprises her role as Mitchie’s mom, while Sherry Cola joins as newcomer Lark.
Disney’s Big Bet
Directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, Camp Rock 3 has Disney Branded Television pulling out all stops. Choreography is led by Jamal Sims, and Lovato’s involvement behind the scenes has only added to the buzz.
