Tom Holland has recently confirmed Spider-Man 4 and that it will go on the floors this Summer. However, there’s a new update on the film which has created a buzz among the fans.
While most of the cast details have been kept under wraps, the makers have confirmed that Jon Bernthal will reprise his fan-favourite Marvel character of The Punisher in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also set to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned in the upcoming instalment of Spider-Man.
Jon Bernthal played the role of Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, for the first time in 2016, making a debut in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2. Fans loved his character and performance, which led to his own series. Unfortunately, the two shows and many other Marvel-centric projects were cancelled by Netflix in 2019.
However, Bernthal, who is also known for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street, Ford v Ferrari, Sicario and others, made a strong comeback with his beloved character in Marvel Studios' most recent series, Daredevil: Born Again.

Tom Holland will return in the iconic red web suit to play the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, which he played in several MCU movies.
Spider-Man 4 is expected to pick up after the events of the previous movie, 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which the entire world knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man and then had that knowledge erased.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the upcoming film is scheduled to start filming in England this summer. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit the theatres on July 31, 2026.
