Prabhas' upcoming film The Raja Saab has been one of the most awaited films of this year. The Spirit actor is back to the comedy genre which is something he nailed in the beginning of his career. With horror being added to the same, expectations on the Maruthi directorial are high already.
The film's shoot moved along quickly, with regular production already under way. Recent rumors in the industry, however, suggest that the release date may be changed.
If rumors are to be believed, The Raja Saab, which was originally scheduled to premiere on December 5, 2025, may now be delayed to Sankranthi 2026. Although the creators have not provided an official confirmation, the rumors have undoubtedly drawn interest from both trade analysts and fans. We have exclusively learnt that Prabhas wanted some of the scenes in the film to be reshot to give it a best shot and has allotted a few days to the film for the director to do the needful. Given the potential for the holiday box office, a Sankranthi release might be advantageous for the movie.
The team treated fans to a stunning new poster of Sanjay Dutt on his birthday amid the release rumors. Dutt plays an elderly character in the picture, sporting a thick mustache and long hair. According to reports, he will play Prabhas' grandfather in the film, which would give the story a more poignant undertone.
The female leads in the movie are Riddhi Kumar, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Malavika Mohanan. Expectations for The Raja Saab's soundtrack and background score are further raised by the fact that S.S. Thaman composed the music, which is supported by T.G. Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.
The Raja Saab is looking to be a fun entertainment film that combines action, family sentiments, and celebrity power. The excitement surrounding it isn't going to let up anytime soon, whether it arrives in December or during Sankranthi.
