Himesh Reshammiya's new movie, Badass Ravikumar, hasn't done as well at the box office as some of his older films. It earned Rs 6.15 crore in its first weekend. While this isn't a terrible number, it's less than what his movies Karzzzz (Rs 6.25 crore) and The Xposé (Rs 10.97 crore) made in their opening weekends. This suggests that Himesh's popularity at the box office might be declining.
The movie's earnings were Rs 2.75 crore on Friday, Rs 2 crore on Saturday, and then Rs 1.40 crore on Sunday. This shows that fewer people went to see the film as the weekend went on.
Interestingly, "Badass Ravikumar" did better than Himesh's first movie, "Aap Kaa Surroor," which made Rs 5.25 crore in its first weekend. Since "Aap Kaa Surroor" was a big musical hit and made Himesh a star, the fact that "Badass Ravikumar" earned more is a positive sign.
One reason why "Badass Ravikumar" might not have done as well is that it was released at the same time as other movies, like "Sanam Tere Kasam." Also, some people who saw the film didn't like it very much, and this "word-of-mouth" can affect how many people go to see a movie.
The movie is an action film with a lot of over-the-top elements. It was aimed at Himesh's fans. However, the exaggerated story might not have appealed to a wider audience.
On the bright side, "Badass Ravikumar" earned more than "Loveyapa," a film starring Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, and Sridevi's daughter, Khushi Kapoor, which only made Rs 4.45 crore.
Himesh is still a successful musician, but his ability to draw crowds to the cinema as an actor seems to be less strong than it once was. It's unclear whether "Badass Ravikumar" will do better in the coming days, or if it will struggle to remain in theaters.
