Bollywood actor Govinda is set to be discharged from CRITI Care Hospital today evening or by tomorrow morning, following a recovery from a recent misfire of his pistol. The actor, known for his energetic performances, was hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in the leg on Tuesday (October 1st).
The incident occurred when Govinda’s licensed revolver was discharged by mistake, injuring his knee. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors successfully removed the bullet.
Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has been by his side throughout the ordeal and provided an update on his condition. “He is much better now, and the doctors are confident he will be discharged today evening or tomorrow morning,” Sunita shared.
She added that she had been performing pooja and religious rituals for his speedy recovery. “I did pooja for him, and with God’s blessings, he is recovering well. Vo hero hai, waise bhi jaldi theek ho jayega” (He’s a hero, after all, he’ll recover quickly), Sunita said with a smile.

The incident shocked the film industry, and several Bollywood celebrities, including Shatrughan Sinha, David Dhawan, and Jackky Bhagnani, visited the hospital to check on the veteran actor’s health.
Their support, along with the overwhelming love from fans, has been a great source of strength for Govinda and his family. “We are so thankful for the concern and support we have received. It means a lot to us, and it’s helping Govinda recover faster,” Sunita expressed.
Govinda, famous for his roles in films like Coolie No. 1, Raja Babu, and Partner, has a huge fan following who have been praying for his quick recovery. The actor is expected to return home soon, where he will continue his recovery process surrounded by loved ones.
