Farhan Akhtar is gearing up his next military action drama 120 Bahadur. After much anticipation, the makers have revealed the release date for the film.
Excel Entertainment, led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, along with Amit Chandrra’s Trigger Happy Studios, has announced the release of 120 Bahadur on November 21, 2025.
The film is a tribute to Major Shaitan Singh, a Param Vir Chakra awardee, and the brave soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who displayed extraordinary valor during the 1962 India-China war. Set against this historic backdrop, 120 Bahadur promises to deliver a powerful and emotionally charged narrative.
The movie is anticipated to be a poignant celebration of courage and patriotism. Farhan had earlier shared a poster of the film featuring himself, along with the caption, "It’s been 62 years since 1962. Today, we honor the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the heroes of Rezang La. 120 Bahadur is our tribute to the valor and the indomitable spirit of Major Shaitan Singh and his brave men, who stood their ground against insurmountable odds. Their story echoes through time, reminding us of the price of freedom and the strength of unity, with a special salute to the Ahir community, whose sons displayed unmatched bravery in defending our nation."
Talking about the film, the makers of the film stated, "The film is a tribute to Maj Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. Set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war, ’120 Bahadur draws’ inspiration from the legendary Battle of Rezang La, where unparalleled bravery and sacrifice made history."
Directed by Razneesh Ghai, best known for Dhaakad starring Kangana Ranaut, 120 Bahadur is a testament to valor and patriotism. Farhan Akhtar, who last appeared in the sports drama Toofaan (2021), is also set to return to directing with Don 3, featuring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani.
