Esha Deol talks about life after divorce

Esha Deol, a Bollywood actress and the daughter of the renowned actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, recently shared details about her life after the divorce, including how she handles co-parenting, motherhood, and juggling her personal and professional obligations.

After getting married in 2012, Esha and her husband Bharat Takhtani formally divorced in 2024. "We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways," the couple said in a joint statement last year, announcing their separation. The welfare and best interests of our two children are and will be our top priorities during this transition in our lives. We would like our privacy to be protected.

The Dhoom actress recently talked openly about her parenting experience and the changes in her relationship with Bharat since her divorce in an interview with Mamaraazzi. The couple has taken a responsible and well-rounded approach to co-parenting their two daughters.

When asked about the challenges of being a single mother, Esha offered a grounded perspective: When asked about how difficult it is to be a single mom now, Esha says, “I don’t like to think of myself as a single mother because I don’t behave like one nor do I let the other person behave that way with me. It’s just that in life, sometimes, due to certain things, roles change. And if it doesn’t work out in a certain equation of what two people were at one point, you must take it upon you, especially when you have children, the two mature individuals must take it upon them to work out in another dynamic but keep the unit together for the sake of the children. And that’s exactly what Bharat and I do."
