DD Next Level release date, storyline, and star Cast: Know all about Santhanam and Gautham Vasudev Menon's horror comedy

Devil's Double Next Level, popularly known as DD Next Level, is an upcoming Tamil horror comedy that continues the legacy of the successful Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise. Directed by newcomer S. Prem Anand and produced by Santhanam’s Handmade Films, this film marks the fourth installment in the series and a direct sequel to DD Returns.

DD Next Level is scheduled to release in theatres on May 16, 2025. The film stars Santhanam in the lead role, continuing his streak in horror comedies. Notably, Gautham Vasudev Menon plays a pivotal role as an officer named Raghavan, while Selvaraghavan appears in a significant antagonist role. The cast also features Geethika Tiwary, Yashika Aannand, Nizhalgal Ravi, Redin Kingsley, Kasthuri Shankar, Brahmaji, and Rajendran, forming a rich ensemble of comedic and dramatic talent.

The film follows Santhanam, who plays a popular film reviewer invited to host a preview screening at a remote theater. However, things take an eerie turn when he is sucked into an alternate dimension. Here, he finds himself face-to-face with Selvaraghavan’s character, who is out for revenge due to Santhanam’s scathing film critiques. What ensues is a wild ride through a haunted palace, bizarre scenarios, and comical confrontations.
