The sudden death of veteran actor Satish Shah at the age of 74 has left the entertainment world and his admirers across generations in mourning. Known for his impeccable comic timing and warmth, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai star passed away on October 25, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, grace, and unforgettable performances.

As tributes continue to pour in from across the country, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh penned a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Some actors don’t just entertain us, they become part of our homes, our jokes and our daily routines. #SatishShah ji was one of them. His comic timing made ordinary moments unforgettable. Offering my deepest condolences to his family and well wishers.”
Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also expressed his grief over Satish demise. Reflecting on his personal memories of the actor’s iconic performances, he wrote, “Why are the people who gave us joy going away? Having just said good bye to Piyush Pandey, comes the news of the passing of Satish Shah who was brilliant in Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and so many many more.”


Sarabhai vs Sarabhai producer JD Majethia shared deeply emotional memories of his final interactions with the late actor. In an interview with PTI, he revealed, “I couldn't believe it because he had a chat with Aatish Kapadia at 11:00 am. He had a chat with Ratna ji at 12:57. And after two hours, we got to know he is no more.”

Majethia also recalled how he was supposed to meet Shah just two days before his death. “I was right below his house, but he said he was too tired to meet. I told him, my family also wanted to meet you. Bohot pyaar karte the betiyon se, very close to my wife. He said, ‘look how I'm sounding, I'm so healthy.’ He told me, ‘Aav ne pachi madiye,’ that ‘pachi’ will never come now.”
