When Parineeti Chopra talked about handling Anushka Sharma's PR: 'I went from handling her interviews to becoming her co-star...'

The film’s plot revolved around Ranveer’s character, a charming con artist who dupes three women by pretending to be in love with each of them. The women then band together and hire Anushka’s character to help them get revenge, blending humour and drama in a story that resonated with many.

Before making her acting debut, Parineeti was working in the marketing department at Yash Raj Films, a role she landed thanks to her cousin, Priyanka Chopra.

It was Priyanka who introduced her to the studio’s marketing team, which eventually led director Maneesh Sharma to offer Parineeti a three-film contract, with Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl being her first acting project.

Priyanka had once spoken about Parineeti’s entry into Bollywood, saying, “She works with YRF's marketing department. In fact, she worked as PR for my film (Pyar Impossible) with YRF,” highlighting her cousin’s initial behind-the-scenes role before stepping into the limelight.

Since Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Anushka Sharma has taken a quieter path in acting, with her last film being 2018’s Zero, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. While the film didn’t fare well at the box office, Anushka found success as a producer, backing popular projects like Bulbbul and Pataal Lok.

However, she later announced that she had stepped away from the production house she started with her brother and is now focused on her personal life with husband Virat Kohli and their children, Vamika and Akaay. Reports say the family is currently settled in London.

Meanwhile, Parineeti continues to grow her career and is happily expecting a child with her husband, Raghav Chadha, marking an exciting new chapter in her life.
