The much‑anticipated film Haiwaan has completed its shooting schedule, the makers announced on Sunday. The production house shared behind‑the‑scenes photos from the last day of filming — one of which shows Saif Ali Khan and director Priyadarshan cutting an “It’s a wrap” cake on set. Actor Saiyami Kher, who is part of the ensemble cast, was also seen celebrating the milestone.
The production house, Thespian Films, shared a series of photos on social media from the final day of shooting for Haiwaan. “It’s a wrap of our film ‘Haiwaan’! Our hearts are full today with love, gratitude, and pride! See you soon at the theaters!” reads the post.
Haiwaan, widely described as a thriller inspired by the 2016 Malayalam film Oppam, brings together a power-packed cast. The film reunites Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on screen after nearly 17 years since their last collaboration in 2008. In addition to them, the cast includes actress Shriya Pilgaonkar, and the film also features a cameo by veteran superstar Mohanlal.
Earlier reports had described Haiwaan as a “cat‑and‑mouse” thriller, with Saif Ali Khan reportedly playing a visually impaired character, while Akshay essayed a darker, negative role — a rare turn for the actor after many years. Priyadarshan had also confirmed that the screenplay and dialogues will be significantly different from the original, ensuring a fresh cinematic experience despite being inspired by Oppam.
Recently, Akshay Kumar revealed that Haiwaan has entered its final production schedule. The film marks a reunion between Priyadarshan and Akshay after their 2010 film Khatta Meetha, and the duo are also collaborating on Bhooth Bangla, which, like Haiwaan, features the late Asrani.
