Actress Nehal Vadoliya, who starred in the reality series House Arrest, has recently made serious accusations against veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai. The actress accused the filmmaker of misconduct.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Nehal recalled a traumatic experience she had at Subhash Ghai's home when she went there with her ex-boyfriend. She also revealed that her ex-boyfriend was the manager of the filmmaker at the time.
The actress revealed that the three of them shared wine during what started out as a friendly visit but quickly became awkward. Nehal recalled that Subhash Ghai first praised her appearance, calling her "very sexy" and describing her laugh as "beautiful."
She claimed that his remarks left her uncomfortable, particularly with her boyfriend around.
Nehal claimed that Subhash Ghai followed her into a room close to the restroom, recalling the incident that startled her.
Nehal Vadoliya told the outlet, “As soon as I came out, Subhash ji entered that room. I thought he wanted to go to the washroom. He was coming straight. There came a point when he came so close that I was completely shocked.”
The actress continued recalling, “His eyes were closed. When I moved aside, his lips touched my cheek. He kissed me and I told my boyfriend that he was about to kiss me on the lips.”
The actress further noted that she was furious over her now ex-beau for taking her to the place. She said, “I told him, ‘Where have you brought me? You are his manager, meaning you already knew all these things. First, we have to get out of here, and I don’t trust you either right now.”
Nehal further noted that the incident completely shook her. Additionally, she also broke up with her then-boyfriend following the incident.
She said, “I broke up with my boyfriend after that. He was not worth trusting.” Nehal added that she felt deceived by the circumstance and the individual who was supposed to keep her safe.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Subhash Ghai has since denied the accusations. He has said, “It’s scary to meet unknown guys where they want to be seen in social media with right or wrong statements just for publicity.”
For the unversed, Nehal is known for her performance in series like Mangalam Dangalam - Kabhi Pyaar, Kabhi Vaar (2018) and Gandii Baat (2018). The actress starred in the lead role in the 2023 mini TV series Imli. She also had a cameo in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
