Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated collaboration with director Atlee, tentatively titled AA22xA6, is shaping up to be one of the biggest pan-Indian films in recent times, and the latest buzz suggests it may follow the two-part release model similar to Dhurandhar. According to reports, the makers are considering dividing the project into two separate films to fully explore the vast storyline and justify the film’s considerable scale and budget.

The film, produced by Sun Pictures on an estimated ₹800 crore budget, has already completed nearly 60 % of its shoot, with elaborate action sequences, including a high-profile underwater action block, currently underway. Top technicians from Hollywood are reportedly part of the crew, bringing in advanced VFX expertise to help realize the project’s ambitious vision.
While no official word has come from the team yet, sources indicate that if the two-part strategy moves forward, Part 1 could hit theaters as early as late 2026, with the sequel to follow later. Insiders say the potential decision to split the film stems from both the narrative’s expansive world-building and contemporary trends in Indian cinema, where large-scale films are crafted as multi-chapter sagas.

AA22xA6 marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee. The film is said to feature Allu Arjun in multiple avatars, possibly across different generations or parallel dimensions, adding to the project’s epic stature. Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as part of the cast, and actresses Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur are also widely reported to be involved.

The comparison to Dhurandhar comes from the recent trend of splitting large-scope films to build audience anticipation and allow deeper narrative exploration—Dhurandhar itself transitioned into a two-part release due to its extensive footage and complex story needs.
