On the day of the incident, Siddique was attacked by unidentified assailants near his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office.

Reports state that he sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital in critical condition, Siddique passed away due to the severity of his injuries.

The incident attracted significant attention not only due to Siddique’s political standing but also because of his close ties with Bollywood. Stars like Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, and her husband Raj Kundra were seen arriving at the hospital to pay their respects. Bollywood has always shared a strong relationship with Siddique, known for his annual Iftar parties that brought together politicians and film stars alike. The news of his passing sent shockwaves through both the political and entertainment industries.

Authorities have acted swiftly in response to the murder, with two suspects already arrested. One of the suspects is from Uttar Pradesh, while the other hails from Haryana. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the motive behind the attack, with a third suspect still at large. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed his deep condolences and assured the public that no stone will be left unturned to bring the perpetrators to justice. Shinde emphasized that no one should take the law into their own hands and vowed strict action.
