Singer Arijit Singh recently made headlines during his UK concert tour when a fan requested him to sing Aar Kobe, a song that has become an anthem for protests related to the Kolkata rape case.

The request seemed to irritate the singer, and he firmly responded that the concert was not the right venue for such a song.

In a video circulating from the event, Arijit is seen addressing the fan and explaining his stance. He said, "They have come to here listen to me not for Protest. People are here to hear my music not to protest. This is not the right place to say. If you wish, there are many Bengalis here, go to Kolkata and get on the road!"

He added that while he respected the cause, his concerts are meant for music, not protests. After this brief exchange, Arijit swiftly returned to performance mode, singing Ramta Jogi from Taal to shift the mood back to the concert’s original intent.
