Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of Hollywood icons Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has officially embraced a new identity in the public eye. The 19-year-old made headlines this week after debuting her stage name, Shi Joli, at a Los Angeles fashion event, signaling a continued shift in how she presents herself both personally and professionally.
On Thursday, May 29, Shi Joli appeared at a private dinner celebrating the launch of French designer Isabel Marant’s latest collaboration with Net-A-Porter.
The event featured a special performance by rising musician Luella, who performed her new single, Naïve, accompanied by two dancers. According to a press release about the evening, Shiloh—credited as Shi Joli—served as the choreographer for the performance.
The name change follows a recent legal development in Shiloh's life. Just last year, she filed to remove her father’s surname, opting to be legally recognized as Shiloh Jolie. She submitted the petition on her 18th birthday in May 2024, a decision believed to reflect the strained relationship between her and Brad Pitt. A judge granted the request later that year.
Shi Joli isn’t the only sibling to make this move. Vivienne, 16, who helped her mother produce the Broadway adaptation of The Outsiders, was listed in Playbill simply as “Vivienne Jolie.” Meanwhile, their older sister Zahara, 20, introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during her induction into Spelman College’s Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority last fall.

All these changes arrive in the wake of years of family tension following Angelina Jolie's 2016 divorce filing, which sought sole custody of the couple’s six children. Although the divorce was finalized in 2024, the emotional repercussions continue to be felt.
A source close to Brad Pitt told PEOPLE that while the actor is “aware” of Shiloh’s name change, he is deeply saddened. “He’s upset. The reminders that he’s lost his children are not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them,” the source shared.
With the debut of "Shi Joli," Shiloh is not only stepping into a new professional chapter—but also affirming her independence on her own terms.
