Amitabh Bachchan praises his 'inheritor' Abhishek Bachchan for choosing diverse roles, writes, "he dared to act and be recognised"

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has recently penned an emotional and admiring note for his actor son Abhishek Bachchan. He shared a photo of Abhishek and called him his true ‘inheritor’.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog and penned a lengthy note for his son after the release of the first look trailer of his upcoming film, Kaalidhar Laapata. The veteran actor started his note writing, “and there is immense admiration for Abhishek…”

He then quoted his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s line and wrote, “Mere bete hone se mere utradhikari nahi honge, jo mera utradhikari honge wo mere bete honge.”
Amitabh Bachchan explained the same in English and wrote, “my sons just because you are my sons shall not be my inheritors.. they that shall be my inheritors shall be my sons.”

He complimented Abhishek for playing different roles in movies, and wrote, “each role he has accepted and played has been with immense dedication .. he has ever delivered the character to perfection… his choice of films and roles has guided him to give him opportunity to try something different…”

He added, "and I remember the words written in my Autograph book as a youngster, by the great Hindi poet laureate, Shri Ram Dhari Singh 'Dinkar' , when he would often visit our home in Allahabad, now Prayagraj…
