Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan recently paid their respects to iconic actor Manoj Kumar at his funeral in Mumbai on Saturday.
The father-son duo arrived together at the late actor’s residence and sat alongside other friends and family members as Manoj Kumar was given a state honour farewell.
Several videos of the father-son duo attending the funeral services are going viral on social media. In the video, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek stood by as Manoj Kumar’s mortal remains were draped in the Tricolour and saluted by police personnel. A priest carried out the final rites before the body was taken for cremation.
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek sported a white kurta set paired with a black Nehru jacket. The father-son duo looked devastated and avoided the media interaction.
Manoj Kumar, known for his patriotic films, passed away at 87 due to age-related issues at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. His funeral at Pawan Hans crematorium was attended by several notable figures, including Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Prem Chopra and Zayed Khan.

The legendary actor was fondly called 'Bharat Kumar' by fans and gained fame through iconic patriotic films such as Shaheed, Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan, among others.
He was born as Harikrishan Goswami in a Punjabi Hindu family in Abbottabad (now in Pakistan), which was then part of undivided India. After the Partition in 1947, his family moved to Delhi.
Manoj Kumar is survived by his two sons and wife Shashi.
