Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan's next horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla has been creating a lot of buzz since it was announced. Now, the actor has shared that the team has wrapped up filming for the movie.
Akshay took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a behind-the-scene video of a song from the film featuring Wamiqa Gabbi along with him. It was being shot with the backdrop of waterfall and the actors looking serene as they shoot for the song.
Akshay also expressed his admiration and gratitude for director Priyadarshan, producer Ektaa Kapoor and co-star Wamiqa in a note along with the video. He wrote, "And that’s a wrap on #BhoothBangla ! My seventh madcap adventure with the ever-inventive Priyan sir, my second outing with the unstoppable Ekta, and my first but hopefully not the last, magical journey with the ever-surprising Wamiqa. Grateful for the madness, the magic, and the memories."
Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan are reuniting after a gap of 14 years for their upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, marking their seventh collaboration. Their last venture together was the 2010 political satire Khatta Meetha.
The first look of Bhoot Bangla was revealed on Akshay's birthday in 2024, generating enough excitement among fans to see him again in a horror-comedy after a long time.
The film also features Wamiqa Gabbi in a key role and boasts a stellar supporting cast including Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, and Jisshu Sengupta. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, along with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla is slated for a theatrical release on April 2, 2026.
