The Election Commission has announced the schedule for polling in Haryana for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Haryana will go to polls in a single phase on May 25.
The results will be declared on June 4.

In 2019, the state went to polls on May 12 in a single phase. The voting took place across the following constituencies: Ambala, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Hissar, Karnal, Sonipat, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, Faridabad. Watch the EC presser here.
The main contenders in the state are the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP).

In 2019, BJP won all 10 seats in Haryana while the Congress, INLD and JJP drew a blank. The saffron party posted an impressive vote share of 58% while Congress bagged 28.4% of the votes. Overall, the state had recorded a voter turnout of 70.3% which was higher than the national average.

The 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Haryana will take place just weeks after Manohar Khattar resigned as the chief minister amid BJP’s break-up with Dushyant Chautala’s JJP. He was replaced by Nayab Singh Saini.
BJP and JJP will now contest the polls separately after failing to arrive at a seat-sharing arrangement.
