The Vellore Institute of Technology has started the registration process for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2026. Students who wish to apply for undergraduate engineering courses at VIT can now submit their applications online at viteee.vit.ac.in. The last date to complete the application process is 31 March 2026.
VITEEE 2026 will be held as a computer-based test from 28 April to 3 May 2026. The exam is conducted for admission to engineering programmes at VIT campuses located in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amaravati.
Exam Pattern
The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the paper will include 125 multiple-choice questions divided into the following sections:
- Mathematics/Biology: 40 questions
- Physics: 35 questions
- Chemistry: 35 questions
- Aptitude: 10 questions
- English: 5 questions
Each correct answer will carry 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. There is no marking for unanswered questions. The paper will be available only in English.
Eligibility Criteria
Students born on or after 1 July 2004 are eligible to apply. The date of birth mentioned in the High School Certificate will be considered as the final proof.
