Several competitive and entrance examinations have been rescheduled due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Spanning over six weeks, the elections are scheduled to be held between April 19 and June 1. The Lok Sabha election schedule was announced on March 16 and based on the same, examinations scheduled to be held during this timeframe have now been changed.
Among the key examinations that have been rescheduled are UPSC, NEET-PG, JEE-Main Session 2 and ICAI CA (Group 1 & 2). However, the exam dates for JEE Advanced and NEET UG remain unchanged.
While the civil services exam has been postponed by 20 days to June 16, NEET-PG applicants will now have to sit for their examination on June 23. The timeframe for JEE Main (Session 2) has been revised to April 4-12 instead of the earlier April 4-15.
ICAI Chartered Accountancy (Group 1), which was scheduled to take place on May 7, will now be held on three separate dates - May 3, 5 & 9. Aspirants taking the ICAI Chartered Accountancy (Group 2) will now have to write the exam on May 11, 15 & 17 instead of May 9, 11 & 13.
