The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (2) 2024 on its official website, upsc.gov.in. A total of 349 candidates have been selected for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA) based on their performance in the written examination and subsequent interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).

The commission has prepared separate merit lists for the IMA, INA, and AFA, with some candidates featuring in multiple lists. According to the official notification:

• 2,534 candidates qualified for the IMA written exam.


• 900 candidates cleared the INA written test.


• 613 candidates were eligible for the AFA written examination.

The UPSC clarified that the medical examination results were not considered while preparing the merit lists. The selected candidates’ dates of birth and educational qualifications are currently being verified by the respective service headquarters.

The commission emphasized that the selection is provisional, and candidates must submit their original certificates (along with attested photocopies) to the Army, Naval, or Air Headquarters as per their first preference.
