Tejashwi Yadav urges Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to resolve BPSC 70th exam issues, warns of protests

Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, leader of the opposition in Bihar, has written a letter to chief minister Nitish Kumar, demanding immediate action on the issues surrounding the BPSC 70th Combined Preliminary Examination.

The letter, dated December 4, 2024, highlights the plight of aspirants struggling with server failures, inadequate preparation time, and lack of clarity in the examination process. Yadav warned that if the government fails to act, he will stand with the protestors to fight for their rights.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th Preliminary Exam, a crucial gateway for government jobs, has become a source of frustration for thousands of students. Multiple aspirants have reported difficulties in submitting application forms due to server glitches on the BPSC portal. The tight timeline between form submission and the exam date has further compounded the problem, leaving students with insufficient time to prepare.

Adding to their woes, rumors of exam date changes have caused confusion and anxiety among candidates. Many have criticized the administration for its lack of coordination and transparency in handling such a critical examination.

In his letter, Yadav outlined key steps the government should take to address these issues:

• Extension of Form Submission Deadline: Yadav requested a 5-7 day extension for form submission, citing technical glitches that prevented many aspirants from completing the process.


• Postponement of Exam Dates: He urged the government to postpone the preliminary exam by at least one month, ensuring adequate preparation time for all candidates.


• Clear Communication from BPSC: The opposition leader emphasized the need for transparent and timely notifications to prevent misinformation and confusion among students.


• Efficient Management of Resources: Yadav called for prompt distribution of admit cards, question papers, and other necessary resources, with no room for technical or logistical errors.

Accusing the NDA government of playing with the dreams and futures of Bihar’s youth, Yadav issued a stern warning. “If the demands of aspirants are ignored, I will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the protestors and fight for justice,” he stated.
