The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will begin the counselling process for admissions to undergraduate engineering programs at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs today, June 3. Eligible candidates can register and fill their college preferences on the official JoSAA website – josaa.nic.in – from June 3 to June 12, 2025 (5 PM).

The counselling will be conducted in six rounds, with the final seat allotment result scheduled for July 16, 2025. Here are the important dates:

- Class 10 & 12 mark sheets
- JEE Main/JEE Advanced admit card & rank card
- Category certificate (if applicable, issued after April 1, 2025, for OBC-NCL/EWS)
- Cancelled cheque/bank details
- Medical certificate
Step 1. Visit josaa.nic.in and log in using JEE Main/Advanced credentials.
Step 2. Verify via OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
Step 3. Select and prioritize preferred institutes and courses.
Step 4. Lock choices before the deadline (June 12, 5 PM).
Seat Allotment Criteria
Allocation depends on:
- Category rank (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD)
- JEE Main/Advanced rank
- Preference order of courses
- Seat availability in the respective quota
