The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results today, May 13, 2025. Students can now check and download their results and digital marksheets from the official website — cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker, or the UMANG app.
For those who are dissatisfied with their CBSE 10th or 12th marks, the Board has a well-structured re-evaluation mechanism in place. Students may opt for mark verification, obtain a photocopy (scanned copy) of their evaluated answer sheets, and even request a re-evaluation of answers, if needed. However, these services are strictly time-bound and can only be accessed online.
CBSE Re-evaluation 2025: What Students Can Apply For
As per CBSE’s notification dated May 2, 2025, the following options will be available:
- Verification of Marks: Students can request CBSE to recheck their total marks and ensure that all answers have been evaluated.
- Obtaining a Photocopy of the Answer Book: After mark verification, students can apply to receive a scanned copy of their evaluated answer script.
- Re-evaluation of Specific Answers: Once they get their answer sheet copy, they can request a detailed re-evaluation of specific answers if they still feel the marking is unfair.
- All applications must be submitted online through the official CBSE portal only.
- No offline applications or requests sent via email or post will be accepted.
Each facility (verification, copy of answer sheet, and re-evaluation) will be available for a limited time window, as announced in a separate CBSE circular shortly.
The new sequence of application steps—mark verification → obtaining answer sheet copy → re-evaluation—has already been shared by CBSE to help students plan accordingly.
Students are advised to stay updated via the CBSE official website and ensure they apply within the stipulated deadlines. No late requests will be entertained under any circumstances.
