CAT Results 2024 declared @ iimcat.ac.in, 14 students secure 100 percentile

IIM CAT Result 2024: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) declared the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today on December 19. Candidates can now access their scorecards by logging into the official CAT website using their registered credentials.

Out of the 3.29 lakh students who registered for the exam, 2.93 lakh appeared. An impressive 14 students secured a coveted 100 percentile score, and 13 of those hail from engineering backgrounds. The gender breakdown for this group is also noteworthy, with 13 males and just one female achieving the perfect score.

The dominance of engineering backgrounds continues in the next tier of high scorers. Among the 29 candidates who secured the 99.99 percentile, 25 come from engineering disciplines. The remaining four come from non-engineering backgrounds. Gender disparity persists at this level as well, with 27 males and only two females achieving this impressive score. Thirty students scored a very strong 99.98 percentile.

Out of the 3.29 lakh registered eligible candidates, the category-wise distribution is as follows: General – 67.53%, EWS – 4.80%, NC-OBC – 16.91%, SC – 8.51%, ST – 2.25%, PwD (across categories) – 0.44%. Among the 2.93 lakh candidates who appeared, the breakdown is: General – 67.20%, EWS – 5.09%, NC-OBC – 17.5%, SC – 8.08%, ST – 2.12%, PwD (across categories) – 0.41%.
