Bihar Board Matric Exam 2025 Begins Today: Important Guidelines for Students and Parents

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is all set to commence the Matriculation Annual Examination-2025 starting today, Monday. The exams will run until February 25, 2025, with over 15.85 lakh students expected to participate. Among the candidates, 7.67 lakh are male students, while 8.18 lakh are female students.

Bihar Board Matric Exam 2025: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is all set to commence the Matriculation Annual Examination-2025 starting today, Monday. The exams will run until February 25, 2025, with over 15.85 lakh students expected to participate. Among the candidates, 7.67 lakh are male students, while 8.18 lakh are female students. The examination will be conducted across 1,677 centres statewide.

Exam Schedule and Key Details

The first day of the examination will focus on the mother tongue subject, which includes Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, and Maithili. The exams will be held in two shifts:


The board has emphasized strict adherence to timings. The main gate of the examination center will close 30 minutes before the exam begins. For the first shift, students must arrive by 8:30 AM, with admission closing at 9:00 AM. Similarly, for the second shift, entry will start at 1:00 PM and close at 1:30 PM. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.

Special Arrangements at Examination Centers

In Patna alone, 73 examination centers have been established, catering to 71,669 candidates. Additionally, four model examination centers have been set up in each district, including Patna. These centers are equipped with advanced facilities, including CCTV surveillance at the main entrance to ensure transparency and security. Notably, the model centers will be managed entirely by women staff, supported by scouts and police personnel to maintain order.
